Send short links and make QR codes with Reroute
Put short links of your brand in replies, see when customers open them, and make QR codes for new requests.
Reroute is the link and QR code platform of Obsidian Heron. OHSupport uses Reroute to make short links and QR codes for your brand.
An owner or an admin connects Reroute one time. Do these steps:
- In Reroute, make a workspace API key with the scopes links:read and links:write.
- In OHSupport, open Settings. Copy the webhook URL from the Reroute card.
- In Reroute, add a webhook to that URL for the event scan.created. Copy the signing secret.
- In the Reroute card, write the API key and the signing secret. Then select Connect.
- In Reroute, add and verify a short-link domain, for example go.yourbrand.com. Write it as the link domain of your brand.
To put a link in a reply, select Insert link below the reply box. Write the web address and an optional label. Then select Insert.
OHSupport puts the short link in your reply at the cursor. When the customer opens the link, the conversation shows the number of opens, the last time, the device and the country.
To make a QR code, open Settings. In the QR code area of your brand, write a subject and a topic. Then select Generate.
The QR code opens a new request form. The subject is already in the form. Select Download SVG to keep the image for print.
WARNING: Set a link domain before you send links. Without a link domain, each link shows the short host of Reroute, not your brand.
NOTE: Do not open the links of a customer yourself. OHSupport records each open as an open by the customer.
